The Fog Horn

The original, air powered fog horn is still complete, although it has now been superceded by an electric unit mounted high on the tower.

The fog horn area and its platform are ideally placed to encompass the views to the Inner Hebrides and it is a well established whale and dolphin viewing area. In 1997 we constructed an all weather viewing area to allow visitors an opportunity to observe the movements of the whales and porpoises regardless of wind and rain.

Alternatively, just enjoy surging waves against the rocks, the calls of seabirds and the sun setting into the western sky.
